Willow Hall serves as the new campus hub for the Stockton Campus of Stanislaus State, expanding access to student services.
The facility houses a mix of student-focused departments, including GIS, information technology, a learning commons, and administrative support. A significant portion of the second floor is dedicated to the Health Services program, with an emphasis on nursing and features high-fidelity simulation and skills labs designed to prepare the next generation of healthcare professionals. The building also includes a 300-seat event center, computer labs, classrooms, and shared faculty spaces that encourage collaboration across departments.
The new Health Services program includes a nursing lab, a health assessment lab, and a high-fidelity simulation lab complete with observation and control rooms. The nursing lab required particularly careful coordination of headwall systems and window placement, balancing the need for advanced simulation functionality with access to natural daylight.
The design features an integrated sunshade for the building’s south façade to reduce heat gain and glare from full-height glazing while supporting the University's goal of maximizing classroom transparency.
